Busy life

Wow, it has been a while. I was thinking the other day that almost nobody has been updating, including me! So here goes.

We have been busy. A couple weekends ago we were in PC with my family. We hadn't been there since Thanksgiving, so it was time. Everything is a little more complicated with a toddler and a baby, including trips especially. We managed though. Of course being with family meant more hands to hold the baby. The girls did pretty well overall.

I am attempting potty training, again. I keep trying every now and then, testing the waters. We are finishing out Day 4, with not much progress. I am doing the diaperless method so that we both know when she goes. Jolynn is fine with sitting on the potty unless she actually has to go, then she resists with all her might. If she could just learn to "let go" on the potty, we'd have it made! I'll give it a few more days, and if she still isn't progressing I'll let it rest for a while. Any ideas, anyone?

Darrell's sister Trippy is back from Kansas, and that means I get to use her during the day sometimes! She can take care of Jolynn while I get needed work done. It's so nice! Today I did a lot of baking for a bake sale this weekend. I made herb bread, which flopped; carrot cake; chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate peanut butter cake. That was enough work for one day, so thankfully Janet invited us over for supper tonight.

Carina is doing well since I've taken milk out of my diet. She is such a sweet baby when she doesn't have tummy ache. I am enjoying being her mommy now!

Okey-doke, enough of an update for now.

Hello there...your family is so precious, I love your photo!  We are beginning to potty train our granddaughter who was 2 in March.  We (& mommy and daddy) have been putting her on the potty when she wakes in the morning, after her nap, and just before her bath.  Then throughout the day.  We make is sound like it is so much fun to use the potty.  Saying "let's go potty okay" in a singing voice...that USUALLY works...we know she is ready because she goes and hides when she has a bowel movement...then comes to tell us about it!  Good luck...I too like the diaperless method...

It is nice that your baby isn't colicky anymore...poor baby girl...and nice now for momma too!

Blessings, Kelly
